His functions consist of developing research and training projects and programs for highly qualified personnel with academic, industrial, municipal and governmental circles, with several effective transfers of knowledge and technologies to end users.
He also works as an expert on numerous advisory committees, scientific conference committees and funding application evaluation committees, at national and international levels.

Twenty years of managing research and development within multidisciplinary teams, with a strong vision of process development and the manufacturing of prototypes for the decontamination of water and industrial effluents.
His expertise focuses specifically on decentralized wastewater treatment in extreme conditions — in rural, urban and peri-urban environments — concentrating on the elimination at the source of refractory emerging contaminants.
His research regularly attracts media interest: more than a hundred interviews given to journalists on water treatment and quality.
